What is Playlink?

Playlink is an organization based in Illinois and established in the year 2000. We are a playgroup and information exchange for interracial adoptive families. Most of our children were adopted through an agency based in Oak Park Illinois. That agency, Adoption Link specializes primarily in the placement of african american infants. Therefore, many but not all of the children in our families are of african american descent. Also, not all of the children in our group have been adopted through Adoption Link--so, it's not a requirement to join our group.

Our parents consist of single mothers, gay and lesbian couples and heterosexual couples.

Our children range in age from newborns to pre-teens.

Playlink meets for play dates and a discussion group once a month at various locations throughout the Chicagoland Area. We exchange information via our meetings, website and email sharing everything from parenting issues to haircare tips to recipes.

Please feel free to browse our site.

If you would like more information about Playlink or would like to attend our next event please email us. We look forward to hearing from you!
